Family Supports
Respite Care: Respite care gives support to families with members who have a developmental disability in terms of relief care (in or out of home) through the provision of financial and administrative support and assistance in employing trained workers. This, in turn, maintains family unity in the home and community, eases stress and pressures on the family and ultimately enhances the quality of life and relationships within the home.
Community resource development: This provides consultation and hands-on support, as needed, ensuring the effective coordination of recreational activities, services, education and community access for children and adults.
