Volunteering

Who can Volunteer?

We welcome anyone who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of people with an intellectual disability. We look for people who are open minded and have a willingness to learn. We encourage volunteers to share their time and talents with us.
We have many opportunities to High School students by offering co-op placements and 40 hour community service opportunities.

Why Volunteer at Community Living Kirkland Lake?
We will provide you with a greater awareness of people with an intellectual disability, offer a training environment for individuals interested in gaining experience for College or University. You will get to meet new people, enrich the lives of people with an intellectual disability and contribute to your community.

What is the process in becoming a volunteer?
In order to volunteer with Community Living, you will need to fill out an application form, come in for an interview, and speak to our volunteer coordinator. If you are still interested, you will need to get a police check.

Who do I call to volunteer?
If you are interested in volunteering with C.L.K.L., please call the Coordinator of Volunteer Resources, Esther Richards at 705-567-9331 ext 234 or email at esther.richards@communitylivingkl.com
